Notify about someone you employ in child-related work

Let the Social Services Regulator (SSR) know someone has started or finished working for you doing child-related work. Anyone doing child-related work must have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration clearance.

Why this matters

It’s legally required that you inform the SSR of the dates whenever someone starts or ends child-related work for you.

Use this service to confirm the details of someone you employ when they engage in child-related work.

What happens next

You’ll need to:

  • enter some details about yourself
  • enter the worker’s details — you’ll need to know their last name and WWCC number or VIT registration number
  • check the information
  • submit the information

Check these details carefully

Make sure the worker’s last name and WWCC number or VIT registration is correct. If the details don’t match, we may not be able to confirm their check.
